iCal Meeting Invite meeting organizer's invitation to Delete Items folder

Hi all,
I am on Appian 16.2, iCal v3.2. When using the Send Meeting Request smart service in the Process Modeler, running the node as who initiated the process, the meeting invitation sent to the meeting organizer (process initiator) goes directly to the Deleted Items folder and is not placed on the Outlook Calendar. Additionally, the meeting cannot be accepted, as Outlook prevents the organizer from accepting their own meeting.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
