Clear hundreds of tasks from users task list

Question

Hi , 
 I have to clear hundreds of selected tasks from a user's task list . Is there any easy way to do it other than asking users to close one by one ?

You could delete the relevant processes via the runtime designer, or make a portal report that filters specifically on these tasks and cancel them.

You can cancel the process as well. As a suggestion for the future, to make your life easier and to follow the best practices you can add to all the processes an "abandoned timer" which can kill the process after certaing time. in development you can put this as 1 day or something like that.

If you want those tasks to be returned to the pool of all users, and just not be selected by that one user, you can do all simultaneously by deactivating that user and reactivating him or her.

Rather than deleting the instances, its better to cancel the instances as they would be archived and would be helpful for future retrieval.
