Process Analysis/Simulation , Process modelling and Testframework

Hi,
In Appian, we export application with various objects e.g. process model, expression rules, interfaces etc. Exported package is a zip file containing various folders and files. Most of the Appian objects except CDT's are XML file (including process model) with Appian's own conventions.

For process analysis and simulation, you can use process designer (Runtime Data) where you can analysis each process instance in details e.g. time each node has taken, process history, variables etc. You can monitor executed process and re-run them if you want.
You can check performance trends in various Appian objects e.g. Interfaces, Rules.
In Appian expression rules, you can write various test cases.

         1)  You can Export and Import your Process Models as a 'Zip' file.

         2) When you click on the checkbox of process model in design view, you will be having an option of 'more',in that click 'view

              documentation'.Here you can find like Process Model Properties,Process Model Diagram,Process Model Contents,Process Model

              Nodes.

        3) You can make a high level design of your Application in process model 'Analyst' view, and you can print the complete flow.

Hi,

You can export your process model to a PDF using "Generate Documentation" from Tools tab in the process modeler.

--> After creation of your Process model you should take the patch of your complete application, it doesn't allow to take patches
for individual objects(process model).

---> When you Export the application, you will be getting in Zip format, and import also it only allows the Zip file.

---> In Earlier versions it is possible to take zip of individual objects, but now this feature got removed.
