Hi all,
In my application I have a few different places where I utilize the ability to press enter from somewhere on a form (such as when a text box is highlighted), in order to activate the primary button on that form instead of forcing the user to switch hands and activate the button via mouse-click. Since our cloud instance was upgraded to 7.3, this functionality now seems to be missing or broken. Does anyone have any advice as to how to fix or re-enable this?
Thanks!...

Hi Mike, is your form tempo-enabled?

That's right, our application is nearly 100% mobile-enabled. There was no change to our existing processes, other than the version upgrade.

Are you using JavaScript event rule to capture the enter key being pressed? Is your primary button the farthest left button?

We have no javascript whatsoever. And yes, by "primary button" i mean the (green) farthest-left button. In all previous versions I can remember, pressing enter on the form (such as from a text field) would activate this button.

What components do you have on your form? Is this occurring on all forms? If you were to create a form with one component, say a text field, and one button, are you able to use the enter key feature?

I've verified it still behaves the way I describe when there is only one normal text field on a form, and I also verified it with a text field and a number field. The enter key does nothing in either case, whereas previously it would cause the form to submit.

Mike, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I've reported this to our product team under the reference number AN-51610.

I have found through our product team that this is not a problem with buttons. The change was made to have Tempo Enabled Forms be consistent with SAIL forms introduced in 7.3. We will be updating the documentation to reflect these changes. As a workaround, you can tab to the button and hit enter to submit.

Ok, thanks for the update - i was afraid it had been removed intentionally. Unfortunately there are several places where I designed forms specifically to allow a user to press "enter" when entering data so as to avoid the necessity to tab down to the buttons (such as an entry field above a paging grid where filter text is entered, and the primary button being "Apply Filter", etc) - these will require a re-design but it may not be a blocker. Am I the only one who was counting on this functionality?

To my knowledge, you are the first to have reported this behavior.
