I have created a process model that allows assignment of requests to users. The user field I created as a people field, I thought it worked well to be able to start typing and have the field populate from the users in the system. Works great, but I now want to un-assign a request from a user and if I remove the name from the filed as soon as I save the request the name is put back.
I thought about creating an un-assigned user in the system but that seems like too much of a hack. Has anyone else run into this problem and if so how did you solve the problem....

Create a group for the Supervisors and have the task's default state be assigned to that group (so it can be opened by any supervisor). This way, the supervisor could click an "un-assign" button and the task could be re-assigned back to that group (instead of blank).

Hey Mike, I am considering creating a group that would store all the supervisors in the system. Have you had to accomplish this before? How would you go about to do this? What I had in mind was to create a daily process that runs, gets a list of all the supervisors and adds them to the group. Is there any other way?

- you should probably start a new thread for that question since it's not really related to this original post and also this post is over 5 years old. I'll think about it some and try to look out for a new post from you.
