Hi ,
in one of our process models we need to sent mail when one condition is fullfil.So we define the send mail smart service and then we add an exception to it.My question is: Is this Appian best practice because from time to time I see that process history flow is as expected but the mail is still sent.Does anybody have similar experience ?...

Create a separate process model with Send Email smart service. And add an exception on sub process node rather than on the Send Email smart service node.

Si of I stay with only sent mail and I put xor gateway before it , that will also solve the issue.Right?

Yes. You can use XOR gateway before that Send Email node.
