Hi! As I am new to Appian, so I have faced a problem while creating a process model.
I wanted to know how can we check in a process model whether the employee id of the user already exists in the database but is in the inactive state or it is a new user?

In general, you can call any Appian function in a process model. In your case, the function isusernametaken().

To find out whether a user is inactive, you might want to deploy the following plugin

and use the function isuseractive().
