Hello All,
I have a requirement to update the security for a process Instance, I am using a smart service "Update Security for Processes", but when I run this, the process security is being replaced, instead adding it to existing security for a process instance.
I have noticed that this is happening only when the security for that particular process inherits from its parent folder.
Somebody Please advice

Hi Mounika, Modify Process Security Smart Service will only update or modify the process Instance security but will not append the new security to the old one. If you want to have the old security as well please add it in the smart service while configuring the node.
Please refer this page for more Information: https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/22.4/Modify_Process_Security_Smart_Service.html
Great. Is there a way this can amend the process security rather than just for an instance? like updating the process security? I can see a plugin smart service called as update process security but that still amends for the instance only I guess. Please advice.
This plugin allows you to do it on the process model itself but unsure why you would need a Smart Service for this.
Why would you want to modify the process model security in a dynamic way?
No idea - hence the "unsure why you would need a Smart Service for this" comment. :)
Actually, I deleted one of the groups unknowingly and now I need mapping that to ALL process models in my cloud instance as this was the group all developers used to view instances in production, So I was thinking to have it automated one-off activity than a huge deployment of 1000+ process models spread across 100+applications.
In that case, assuming you're talking about your Dev environment, I'd suggest you first consider whether it would be possible to do an emergency back-port from a higher environment where the group had not been deleted (potentially just starting with the group itself, since importing it back to Dev (or whichever environment the accidental deletion occurred in) might fix things enough for you.
