Hi,
could someone explain me the answer of this question?
Q: One of the process models in your application takes 6 days to complete. You are considering reducing the days until a process archives after completion from 4 to 2. What percent of memory reduction for this process model would you expect to see after this change?
A: 20%
Discussion posts and replies are publicly visible
it is around 33% of memory reduction will happen
The correct answer is 20% but I don't know why. I thought 33% too.
Where is this question from? It makes no sense because it talks about two different parts of the process lifecycle. Active time and completed time. Changing the days before archive does not in any way change the time it takes to complete.
I found it into the "Senior Developer Certification Practice Test"
Hi, I think the reasoning could be something like that:the process occupies memory for 6 + 4 days = 10 days. Reducing the archiving time by 2 days means affecting by 2/10 that is 20%. What do you think?
If the memory occupied by an instance process is the same as an archived process, yes. I think you are right. Thanks
Hi Gabriele Minardi
Thanks for your valuable input. I believe your calculation makes sense I do agree,
Moreover, I would say that this question would need to be rephrased a bit by Appian Team, in order to develop a clear understanding, as highlighted by Stefan Helzle .
