Hello Appian Community,
I'm looking for information regarding the storage location and retention period of archived processes in Appian. Specifically:
Where are the archived processes stored within the Appian platform? Are they stored within the Appian database or in a separate location/file system?
How long are archived processes retained within the Appian system before they are automatically purged? Is there a configuration setting for this, and if so, where can it be adjusted?
I'm interested in understanding the best practices for managing archived processes, and any insights or guidance from your experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Best regards,
Rahul

1. They are stored on the filesystem. You could have a script that moves these files to another area (NAS, Cloud Storage etc.) if you want.
2. Archived after 7 days of being cancelled or deleted is the default.

1. Filesystem.
You can see how to unarchive processes here:
2. Technically, I believe archived processes are retained forever AFAIK and will take up disk space. You need to set them to be deleted rather than archived if you don't want them to be archived.
