Hi
InTempo I have a related action which can cancel the entire request. When this Related Action is executed then the overall status of the request changes to "X" in my Database. However if my task is generated before this related action is executed, then how can I completely remove the task from the tasks tab?
In other words, even if my task is visible in the task tab then once the overall request gets cancelled then how can the task completely vainsh from the tasks tab.
I am working on version 7.3.
Thanks in advance!!...

On changing the overal status of the request to X, terminate the main PM. This would terminate all the sync subprocesses.
Other way can be to put an exception on the task which would initiate when the status of the request changes to X

Aayush and Eduardo thank you for replying!!
Mine is an entity backed record. So when through related action the Status changes to X, it gets reflected in Database. But how can I reflect that change in the active instance of my proces to terminate the entire request!!

The above works fine in Process backed, I would be interested to know in Entity backed Reocrds. Related action can update the records but if you want to take any action in your process model by this update then you need to have PPID for that process model. After that you can use above Exception solutions as you need to update varible first in your process.

Vikas thank you for replying!!
Yes I want to know how can I reflect the change in status on active Process instance since my record is entity backed and also PPID detail is not being stored in the database. So I would like a solution which will not require me to update my database.

You can utilize Send Message & Recieve Message events with unique identifier to listen.

instead of Send message & Receive message better to use "Set External PV" smart service and update one boolean PV with true value and Terminate the process once that PV is true.Bcoz the Send & Receive Message nodes failing in PROD...

'Set external process variable' smart service is more reliable here as messaging is not synchronous .
