Hi all,
i encounter an error when i try to run a sub-process as certain user A.
There is a problem with task “Sub-Process” in the process “eagle_empty”
Problem: The user does not have privilege to the process that the activity attempted to start.
I did add the group of this user into the security of the "sub-process model".
btw, this sub-process does nothing. only two nodes: start evnet and end event.
why does this happen?
thanks....

1. Does this happen even if you login as this user?
2. What's the assignement of the sub-process node? Run as whoever started or designed?

this happens when i login as this user(A).
it is "Run as whoever started".
no error if "whoever designed". but it doesn't make sense. we don't want admin to start it.

Have you confirmed that the "Started by" shows indeed "User (A)" as the initiator? if it does then you need to troubleshot the security of the sub-process model and make sure it doesn't have the "inherit security" flag enabled since it could be using the parent's security which may be different from what you are setting in the subprocess

sub-process won't be started when this error happens, so i cannot see the "started by". only parent process is started by User(A). both parent process and sub-process are supposed to be started by User(A). and the group of user has been added into the security of these two process.
btw, it's "Viewer" now, should i change to others? like "Editor","Manager"?

Can you make it a manager just for testing purposes? Even initiator should work, but let's try Manager to see if that's indeed the problem

can we set the security to "Manager" for ordinary app Users?
what are more privileges of "Manager" compared to "Viewers"?
