Dear colleagues, I need your help about an issue. I need to reassign

Dear colleagues,
I need your help about an issue. I need to reassign a form to another user for business purpose. I used the reassign escalation to accomplish that. I update a user type variable with a new user value and I am trying to reassign a task to the new user that the variable points to. In Appian 7.4 everything was fine.
But after upgrading to Appian 7.10 in process history tab seems that escalation doesn't work.
Does anyone have the same problem?

One other thing we tried were the following steps:
1. Bring the environment down gracefully.
2. Deleted the following files:
<APPIAN_HOME>\\server\\process\\analytics\\0000\\gw1\\pa*.kdb
<APPIAN_HOME>\\server\\process\\analytics\\0001\\gw1\\pa*.kdb
<APPIAN_HOME>\\server\\process\\analytics\\0002\\gw1\\pa*.kdb
3. Re-started the environment and checked to see if reassigning the task works.
