I have received the following error message from a process Model which is not changed/redeployed since past 5 months.
Examine the activity class to correct the error and then resume.
But I have redeployed the parent process models a number of times since then. As I have not changed anything in the sub-process (Process Model in error) I am not sure about the exact fix for such errors.
Would really appreciate if anyone can suggest a solution to such errors.

Hi Stefan Helzle I have received the following error message from a process. An error occurred while trying to write to the entity “US_Profile” [id=25681974-d814-4cdd-9f2c- 61bdb807f8bc@15915, type=US_Profile…

Out of my experience this is not the whole error message. We need more information to help you. You will have to investigate this issue in detail. It could be that the error is caused by modifications in the parent model and rare situations that happened for the first time.

Thanks Stefan for the reply. Here is the entire error message. Could you direct me on how to investigate such errors, where the changes/modifications in parent module has caused error in the sub-processes

It look like the error is in the node "Write approval event". You have to check the configuration to find the root cause. Check the log files, maybe there is more information about the error. To have a fresh entry in the log files you can restart the node.

When you are on cloud, go to designer environment -> home -> short cuts -> access system logs. Then check the latest jboss log file. They look like this: jboss1-stdOut.log.2016-07-22

We've seen similar errors as a result of a process participant being deactivated.

Thanks Stefan for pointing me to the log files. I was able to search for the right place where it says that error has occurred in my process, but I am not able to understand the exact reason for the error. Will you be able to help me decode the this error log?
I have attached the note file with just error in discussion.
Thanks a lot in advance!
@bryant.st39, Thanks for the possible reason for this error, could you please help me on how to check if my process participant is activated or deactivated?

For me it looks like Bryan is right. The user "sailesh.dadlani.sandbox" seems to have no permissions to access the data store.

From the attached error log, a quick search for the phrase "Caused By" will find any errors, in this the pertinent error msg is "Caused by: com.appiancorp.suiteapi.common.exceptions.AppianRuntimeException: com.appiancorp.security.authz.AuthorizationException: The user [sailesh.dadlani.sandbox] does not have sufficient privileges to perform the requested action because they are not in any role."...search for that user in the deactivated user list. In cases like this we've had to reassign the role responsible for executing the action.

If the user is active, check their permissions to the data store.
