Hi all,
I have a requirement to start the appian process from mail.
I have done all the required configuration for the same as mentioned over the forum and links provided. i am using email smart service for the same and have seen that the email targetted to the process was successfully listened by the MDB. But some i am not able to see the process getting started.
Following are the step taken for the same:
- First i have configured an email listener in the custom.properties
conf.mailhandler.alias.<recipientName>=<routing>
For example, with an email alias of HelpDeskRequest@mydomain.topdomain, define a process model start event target using a UUID with the following parameters.
conf.mailhandler.alias.HelpDeskRequest=processmodeluuid0004cedf-a045-8000-234b-c0a8031014c0
- Now we need to configure the process model to listen emails.
Open the New process model.
Go to properties > General > check the Public Events, Allow anyone to trigge...

...rs
Then configure the Start event to receive messages of type Email. And then publish the process model
After publishing note down UUID of the process model
- Now on sending an email to HelpDeskRequest@mydomain.com, in the below format should start the process in Appian
To: HelpDeskRequest@mydomain.com
Subject: [DestinationPMUUID=0004cedf-a045-8000-234b-c0a8031014c0]
Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Under the general tab of process model properties, there is an option "Public Events: Allow anyone to fire triggers.Allows this model to receive messages sent by any user". Try selecting this and then retry the start.

Yes i did it as per the details given in the link...but still no luck. We just need to give an entry in the custom.properties files right?
