Process
Quick question on process modelling

Hi All:
Quick question -- Just wanted to check is there a way we can change the process initiator from A to B user? We are doing a task re-assignment feature via records dashboard.
In our use case, there will be always one active task for a given record. We have given an option to to do "task re-assignment" for the user to reassign the task to themselves in the absence of person working on the task. The task re-assignment works perfectly, what happens next is, as the submits the form of the current task, the next chained task gets assigned to the old user (process initiator).
I know we can apply logic in the task assignment section, but just wanted to check is there is way we can change the process initiator as well. So it take cares for everything.
P.S. Currently, my task assignment configuration has process initiator.
Thank you!

The process initiator cannot be changed at all. If you want to use it for assignment and need to change it later, store it to a PV in one of the first nodes.

@vinayakb, If you have to take care of the active instances, you can think of a batch process that reassigns tasks to a desired user in the system. Get active task ids from active instances with the help of a process model report and feed them to Reassign task smart service. This way, you ensure active tasks are assigned to an active user.
