Is there a way to include the process variables inside a CDT in a report?

You can add the pv directly as it is there inprocess model , for eg: pv!employee.Name

Hi vinitl522, I have tried adding it like pv!employee.Name, but its not working.. The column is displayed as blank.

@sharmilan May I please know if the CDT process variable is of type 'Single' or 'Multiple'?

Hi @sikhivahans, it is of type 'Single'

If you are creating report with Process model context, all the PVs in that process model will appear when you try to add new data in this report. Please check if this is populating there correctly. Also check that PV name you are mapping here is exactly same in process model. If you provide a screenshot or the configuration that would be a better thing to understand the exact cause of the prob.

@sharmilan Could you also please let me know the following?

1. Is the process variable (of type CDT and Single) hidden?
2. Are you trying to wrap the field(from the PV of type CDT) in any function? Just to let you know, some functions won't work in portal reports thereby causes the corresponding column to render null values.

Apart from the above, I don't think there will be any other issues which cause a problem.

I have another doubt here. If I select to yes to 'Include sub processes', consider that the CDT is available in the parent process, and the same CDT is not available in its sub processes. For a subprocess task, whether the fileld will be displayed as blank or will it display the value as in parent process in the portal report.

@sharmilan I ran into the same issue. I was trying to display pv!myCDT.field1 in a task report, which was passed to multiple sub processes, but if I entered pv!myCDT.field1 as the definition the result was blank for all rows in that column. Interestingly, using index(pv!myCDT,"field1",-1) as the definition in the Data tab seems to work.
