  • @madhubindug OOTB and from the Shared Components perspective, I don't think it's possible.

Here goes a few suggestions as per my knowledge:

    1. Though not elegant, you could make use of the print functionality offered by browser, but this should be done manually I believe and further it prints the entire interface.
    2. Some time ago, we used Chart Creator (at https://forum.appian.com/suite/tempo/records/type/components/item/i8BCLGOdlMUpdGVqT-RV7oRg74uEGJO5CAR0EWFNFhKn71nkcN_gnUhDBn66dHNsw/view/summary) Smart Service to generate a document which consists of the chart image generated based on the data we provide to it.
    3. An other option is to generate the required graph or chart in an Excel document by making use of the available data.

Let's see if any other practitioner could give you much valuable suggestions.
  • Already the current report has bar charts generated, so will this jar help me to export a document? I did not understand the 3rd option, is that after exporting the data user has to generate graph in the excel document?
  • @madhubindug In case of option 2, you need to provide the dataset to the smart service and choose the desired chart type(and there are some other settings as well). There has been a pdf attachment at https://forum.appian.com/suite/tempo/records/type/components/item/i8BCLGOdlMUpdGVqT-RV7oRg74uEGJO5CAR0EWFNFhKn71nkcN_gnUhDBn66dHNsw/view/summary and a glance at it will give you an quick over view. Yes, a document will be generated at the end.

And with regards to Excel, you can configure the Excel template to generate the graph based on the data present in the sheet and this data is an input to excel whose source is the actual chart for which the user attempts to download. The chart here may not look great.

In either of the cases, you need to run a process on demand when the user attempts to make a download and this process should be able to take the dataset as input and generate the chart or Excel and the interface should be able to present it later for the download, post completion of the process.
