Exporting dataset to Excel starting on second column

Based on your description I was not able to understand where the problem is. Is it with the web API with how it writes to Excel ?

Yes, the problem is how the web API writes on to Excel when I ask for a new line using char(10). The use of char(10) gives me that new line but also moves the following line one cell to the right. Attached a couple of images that will clearify.

Can you please attach the full SAIL for this interface? Also, what plug-ins are you using with this interface?

Thank you for the SAIL. I've narrowed it down a bit further. It appears as though it's related to either the merge function or the repeat function. The following SAIL reproduces the issue:

Sorry for the delay. So here's what I found. When you append char(13), which is a line break, it is treating it as its own entry in the array, so if I do "text" & char(13) & "more text", the result will look like this:

text;
; more text

This appears to be expected behavior from my testing, so I would recommend you work around this by doing a Find and Replace on the data before importing it into Excel.
