Can we change the Channel's header color in anyway?? The basic template looks good, but need some extra jazzy's.. In reports also, when we display columns, the column header's color can be changed somehow???
Any info wud be helpful....

Raghunandan, this would require a change to the base product files. Changing the base product file, will impact the look and feel of channels and reports across your Appian instance.

In most of my solutions, I use a web content channel as the header for the channel and for the main channel, use the blank template. This makes the web content channel appear as the other channel's header and you can 'jazz' it up as you wish.

Will try this approach... Changing product files is a costly stuff though!

You might want to take a look at the CSS files under suite.ear/web.war/portal/css for altering the look and feel of the report headers. However, as I had mentioned earlier, changing this would have a wide impact as these CSS classes are used across various places in Appian. Why don't you try out Sathya's suggestion instead which remains out of the box with no alterations to the base product?

@Raghunandan Changing base product files (customization) is not supported by Appian at any capacity. Hence, we do not recommend touching any of the base product files. Is jazzing up "report column header" so critical for? I hope you were able to use Sathya's approach for the "report header."

abhishek, akhilan: The prob is the headers that we display in the report. They(clients) are not tat pleased to se the header in the report part. even the channels and reports are of similar headers(with lil change in colors) and hence the query.
I have anyway asked that it is not recommened, wil try to be OOTB.
we have a report which displays the tasks in a process model and the total number of tasks pending all across(process model context). And we need to have an initial string along with the task names. This is not at all lookin good in the report which has only 2 columns and the first column is too long.
We are planning to have aprocess which execute report and get this dta onto pV and show them in the page. But this is restricted to process context, not process model.
Please let me know if you get any other idea for this.
