Can we retrieve values from a database and use them as inputs to a decision table?

Hi everyone, 

My requirement is to accept values from users through a form and use a decision table to decide which group receives the task. 

My approach - i accept values from users through a form, update the database table with the values and intend to use these values as inputs to the decision table and process model as an output,  and use the smart service to trigger the decision table output process model to assign a task to the intended group.  

I am stuck on how to use the values of the database as inputs of the decision table. 

Is there another way of implementing this requirement?
