I have a requirement where the client would like to be able to scan barcodes using a handheld scanning machine and have them save in the Appian UI.
I have read the following documentation:
From the documentation, it seems that it is only possible to scan a barcode and show it on the Appian UI using a mobile device (smartphone).
Is there any way to achieve the same functionality using a handheld scanner, either Bluetooth or USB? The brand the client has is Symbol. For example: www.amazon.com/.../B00HYOPAJG

AFAIK a typical scanner just acts as a keyboard and "types" the scanned value. This should just work with a text field in Appian.

I was not, but the requirements changed and I did not have to try. It might be possible! Let me know if you have end up implementing something like this.
