Is there a restriction on the maximum number of characters to be entered in a constant of data type 'text'? This constant is passed to a sql statement. We seem to be limited at ~100 characters. Values after the100 character limit are not passed in. This causes no error other than an incomplete query result. thanks....

If you open the constant from the Rules interface and paste it a text editor, do you see that it contains only 100 characters? This will mean that the input you are providing is being cut off since the very first moment you provide more than 100 characters in the UI in which case you may need to review the Data Capping settings
