Hi all,
Where can I download the smartservice/shared component that has the following functions
getgroupnames(), getgroupsformemberuser()?
Does any of the above methods return the group names and not ids?
Ex:- APN Users, Designers and not [group:1],[group:2],etc.,...

Check out the "People Functions" plugin:

For your second point, use apply() over the "group" function if your output is in the [group:xx] format:
