I am working on a report based on a database view. As I want to slice data in different ways, I want to group data dynamically in the report. How do I do that without creating a view for each dimension I want to show? UI is not the issue, getting data to aggregate is what I cannot get to work....

How are you retrieving data from database.?
Consider using quryrecord function which can aggregate data. You have to configure columns using a!queryAggregationColumn() function for grouping them. Specify isGrouping attribute as true for the column on which you want to group. Specify aggregationFunction attribute for other columns.
