#RulesConstantsandExpressions (On 7.3) Anyone know if this is possible? I have a set of constants to draw from. Instead of coding in the values, I am attempting to take a variable, Var1, concatentate that with "=cons!" to arrive at the string "=cons!Var1" and then use that in a form to populate a dropdown. The concatenation works great: the string appears in the form, but I can't get it to execute. I just see the string "=cons!Var1." However, if I directly put the string in the field value, it evaluates perfectly. Any hints/tips/tricks for this?

I was recently trying to do something similar. I tried creating a plugin and using this:
forum.appian.com/.../ProcessDesignService.html
but I couldn't seem to get it to work. Hopefully this helps, and let me know if you figure it out!

I don't understand the issue 100% here. Have you tried looking to a shared component that returns constant value by name ? "Get Constants By Name"

Venkats 533 you understood the issue completely, and the shared component does the trick. You are THE MAN! Worked like a charm!
