Hi,
i am encountering this error only for a particular user, can anybody explain the error?
The expression function 'user("Mallikarjuna Kamle","firstName")' (user=Administrator) could not be evaluated: com.appiancorp.suiteapi.common.exceptions.InvalidUserException: [InvalidUserException]
but the user name is correct in his account.
Thanks in advance...

See if you get a warning about missing users in the engines

Sorry but would you be able to clarify whether you saw missing users or not? It's not clear from your previous post.

Actually I know what the problem is, your are passing a full name while the user function takes a username not a name

And just to clarify, the username has to be an existing one in the environment.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion ! but i found the username was empty in the reports column even though it was within the process, i just did a refresh of process model and the value got populated so, the expression did not throw any error.

Hi Eduardo, we are getting a similar error on the SAIL UI
Expression evaluation error in rule 'getuserorgroupname' (called by rules 'history' > 'setsla') [line 104]: Error evaluating function 'user' : com.appiancorp.suiteapi.common.exceptions.InvalidUserException: [InvalidUserException
Is this similar to the above post or a different error?

You'll have to troubleshoot in more detail to see what username is causing the issue and verify the username is indeed correct and belongs to an active user in the system.
