Issue on creating an Extraction Model using AIDC

Certified Senior Developer

Hi Everyone,

I am facing an issue while creating an Extraction Model using AI Document Center.

During the Extraction Model creation wizard (Steps 1–6), the final step displays the list of objects that will be created ( 4 AI Skills and 2 Process Models). After clicking “Confirm”, I receive a success message indicating that the Extraction Model has been created successfully.

However, the underlying objects that are supposed to be generated are not actually created. I have verified this across the entire environment and cannot find the AI Skills or Process Models that were listed in the final step.

Because these objects are missing, when I try to run the extraction from the UI, the process fails with an error indicating that the required Process Model cannot be found.

A few additional observations from my debugging:

  • This issue started occurring only recently. The same setup was working fine earlier.
  • No application objects or configurations have been modified.
  • The Extraction Model itself is being created successfully.
  • When I checked the underlying record types (AIA Extraction Model and AIA Extraction Model Version), I can see that the corresponding records are being created successfully.
  • The AIA Extraction Model record also contains the Model UUID and the UUIDs of the underlying objects that are expected to be created.
  • However, the actual Process Models and AI Skills corresponding to those UUIDs are not present anywhere in the environment.
  • It appears that the metadata is being persisted correctly, but the object creation step is either being skipped or failing silently without throwing any error during the model creation process.

I am attaching the following screenshots for reference:

  1. The final step of the Extraction Model creation wizard showing the objects that are supposed to be created.
  2. The records created in AIA Extraction Model Record Type.
  3. The UUIDs of the Process Model that isbeing stored but cannot be found in the environment.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue with AI Document Center? Is there any known platform issue, object generation dependency, or additional configuration that could cause the Extraction Model metadata to be created successfully while the underlying AI Skills and Process Models are not generated?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
