Hi All,
I have a query entity rule ;one of the fields is defined as VARCHAR but it actually contains only numeric data. Once the data is pulled to the Grid using the query entity rule ,we allow the user to sort by coloumns; but when the user is sorting on the coloumn which is actually VARCHAR but contains only numeric data ,the sorting happens in a weird manner.Actually sorting is correct ,but it is doing character based sorting.Sorting is not happening based on the actual numerical value in the fields. Is there any solution to this issue.

I'd create a database view that casts the varchar column into a numeric/int type. I'd then create a CDT that maps to the database view that contains all of the relevant columns and defines a numeric type. I'd create a new query rule that references this new CDT and use it to populate the paging grid.
