Hi All,
I have a query entity rule ;one of the fields is defined as VARCHAR but it actually contains only numeric data. Once the data is pulled to the Grid using the query entity rule ,we allow the user to sort by coloumns; but when the user is sorting on the coloumn which is actually VARCHAR but contains only numeric data ,the sorting happens in a weird manner.Actually sorting is correct ,but it is doing character based sorting.Sorting is not happening based on the actual numerical value in the fields. Is there any solution to this issue.

Have you considered simply changing the CDT and database field to an integer? Ideally you should fix the source of the issue rather than working around it. You may need to script some sort of sweep of the data to make sure it is kept and is of valid numeric format.
