#Appian 6.6.1

Is there a restriction on the minimum number of characters to be entered for a constant of data type "Text"?

I'm trying to set value to the constant which of 2 characters.
When I save and open the constant definition again, the value gets reset to empty string.
Any inputs on why this could be happen?

Arvind,

I don't believe that restriction exists. A few questions: Are you able to save any other type of constant or string of different length? How about other rules? When you click "Save Constant," does the page refresh to the containing folder, or does it stay on the same page?

Alex - thanks for your response.

To answer to your queries - yes, I'm able to save any other type of constant of any length; didn't face issues with the rules; after clicking "Save Constant" the page refresh takes me to the containing folder.

I also believe that restriction doesn't exist. It could be due to some glitch with the environment, though am not sure of that.
