Is it possible to use any sort of looping function or applyComponents to automatically create multiple a!save expressions?

We have been trying without any success to do so. It doesn't even seem that saving a!save into an expression with parameters even works (when the expression is tested in the editor, it just returns the same expression saved a!save with the ri!names present in the output). apply doesn't work for this reason, and applyComponents returns an error regarding an inability to create a list of reaction tree. Just in general, it would be nice to have the a!save questions build automatically based on inputs, which would let us conditionally null out question answers, for example. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
