Using task_status() function in a process model
davidh811

Hi,
I want to capture the status of a task and write it to a database. However, when I try to use task_status() as a paramenter, I get the following message in the server log:-
Expression evaluation error at function 'task_status': Error evaluating function 'task_status' : The function 'task_status' is unavailable.
I can use it quite happily in a report. Is this a known restriction?
Thanks,
David

I believe so have a look at
forum.appian.com/.../Process_and_Report_Data.html
it mentions The task metrics below are available for selection through the Expression Editor when defining a task report column of data.

Hi David,
I guess you will have to build a task report and then fetch the status of your task using a!queryProcessAnalytics() at runtime and write that in database thereafter.

@davidh Added to the above, task_status() is a metric of the task which will be available only under the context of the task and it couldn't be used as an Appian function.

It's now working perfectly!
Many thanks for your advice,
