I am trying to generate Bar Code on PDF form. I have bounded the BarCode field to another field. When I run the process, through mapping another field does get generated but it does not generate BarCode. Any idea please?...

Barcode generation plug-in generates an image file. Mapping fields to template in the PDF does not automatically put the image inside the pdf document. I hope this helps clarify.

There is a plugin in the forum that attaches image to PDF. Append Image to PDF that can do that. If you have template that a number of images to attach dynamically you could write a plugin that can place the images on PDF buttons or Text fields. PDFBOX or iText API can do that.

You can either create your plugin using the JAVA API's available that are available. There is also a plug-in on Forum-->Records-->Shared Components that allows an image to be put in PDF (same technique as using the API)

Spo basically, I have to create a barcode using another smart service & then append that image to PDF. Correct?

It depends. If you already have barcode as an image, you can pull it in directly. If not, Appian has a plug-in that can generate Barcode or QR code for a given data. Once you have the image, the rest of the flow is as you've explained.
