Hi,
I am using the latest version of IE11 but whenever I login to any environment (DEV, UAT or PROD) and try to find out my browser's default document mode using F12 developer tool then it shows 7 (default) instead of "edge"
How can this be fixed ?
Thanks,
Sandeep...

It seems like you have adjusted this setting before. Developer tools will remember your request to adjust the document mode. You will just have to switch it back. Read more here which should still apply for the current versions of IE

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the suggestion to switch back but I haven't configured this document at my browser end. Infact, we're facing this issue on each and every machine running on IE11. Using Developer Tools, we've noticed that a meta tag has been set in the browser's html code which sets the document mode to IE7.
Is there a way to change configuration settings so that this meta tag can be removed or modified globally throughout the application.
Thanks,
Sandeep

I'm not seeing this as the default behavior in my local 7.4 installation or an Appian cloud site. These are both defaulting to edge. Please confirm that you aren't changing this through any customization.

That's the main issue. I haven't done any customizations at my end.
If I look into designer interface or apps portal, it shows document mode defaulting to 7 while tempo is defaulting to edge.

Ahh, I was assuming you were speaking about Tempo from the start. I can actually see the same behavior now that you mention it. I see a tag when viewing the source which is the likely reason: <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />

Yes Michale. This is what changes the browser compatibility mode to IE7. How do we remove this ?

Were you ever able to remove this meta tag?
