Hi Everyone,
I created a service account with user type as "Basic User". And I was supposed to change the user type to "System Administrator" and I got the following expression error. I have tried this scenario via Admin Console and Appian version is 22.2 . Is this an expected behavior? Thanks in advance!

Using a sys admin account for a service account seems awkward. I would not recommend doing this.
It complains about an empty email field. Did you check that?
Yes. I did check it. But, When I was creating a service account from Admin console, I was not asked to enter email id. So, I did not provide the same.
I think you are on the wrong way to creating a service account
I follow these steps:
Hi Kavita,
I did this way only. I just wanted to change the user type i.e. To change the values of user properties for learning purpose.

AFAIK this is a standard practice for handling the service account used to own all envrionment-to-environment deployments. I don't know of any particular reasons not to do so, though I guess you could argue that such an account should just be in the highest-level Appian Admin permission group. I think ours is just both of those.
