Error message when performing a task that selects multiple items

the code snippet for this line 453 having index function have some issues wherein something is passed which is not been expected.
Would be helpful to debug if you can probably paste your code snippet around this here for other practioners to look into.

Is the variable 'local!age' holding a discretionary structure or the same value type as that of 'local!abc'?

Are the range of values in local!abc and local!age same?

Have you tried casting the {local!age} to a list of integer or text, whatever matches the type of local!abc?

I'm not exactly sure what you're doing when you call the Index function here. You seem to be attempting to use the values in local!age as the array indices to retrieve from local!abc; but given the limited info available here, it seems like you might have that backwards or something.

As you mentioned, when you do Unselect all, it throws an error. I am not sure but try checking NULL for the variable before using it in index function. Also check and debug the types of variables and values inside them.

Some workarounds for debugging the error.

1) You can check what values the expression 'index(local!abc, {local!age})' is giving separately, may be by printing it in a text box on the screen while removing it from the saveInto of grid.

2) You can add a default value in the index function to be returned when either the array or the index is invalid (forum.appian.com/.../Array_Functions.html like 'index(local!abc, {local!age},1)'. It will verify whether the local!age is a valid index in array local!abc.

3) You can check the server logs for a more detailed view of the error.

Further, can you tell us the data types of 'local!abc' and 'local!age' and on which Appian version you are working?
