How can a PDF reader be displayed on an Appian UI

How can a PDF form be displayed on an Appian UI. Does anyone have a Plugin that can be used to show a PDF reader embedded in an Appian UI, or can this be done using Java to display the PDF form embedded in an Appian UI as shown in the attachment. I would like to be able to show data side-by-side with the PDF form.

@ajays116 i don't think, there is any possibility of displaying PDF Form to display in UI, yes of course in java using JSP we can render this. So the only way which we have is, download the PDF and view that

@Ajay, There is a option of Adobe PDF form in user input task under Forms tab, You can explore that.
I would suggest to have create a SAIL form with all the fields mentioned in the above screenshot and then populate the PDF with the data using PDF Doc From template smart service.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Vinit.

@ajay, AFAIK there is no such functionality to show PDF as UI in Appian. For this you can do a work around process where you may create a sail form which contains all the needed fields in PDF. On submiting the form you can generate a PDF with given values by using "PDF Doc from Template" smart service.

I don't think PDF Forms could be an option as it's deprecated.

Hi Ajay,
ASAIK you cannot have a preview of the uploaded pdf document but you can do a work around for this
1) Firstly you shouldn't have a fileupload component where you want to display the preview.
2) Lets say you have a form where you want to show a preview of the uploaded component, In this form you should have button saying upload file.
3) After clicking the button it will navigate to another screen which has a file upload component and a submit button.
4) After uploading a pdf and submitting the form, the form will navigate back to the previous form now in between these two forms you should convert the pdf to image using "PDF Tools" smart service and the obtained image can be used for displaying as a preview on the first form.
I hope this work around helps you and follow the below link for the mentioned smart service.

I believe there was an issue with the above-mentioned plugin. If you search through the forum entries, you can get a version of jar that works fine and as far as i remember, it was by @stefanh.

In Embedded, you can display them side by side. This is fairly straight forward. If you want it in SAIL form, one option is to convert the PDF to Image and display the image of the PDF in the secondColumn()

@Sathya i agree with you, but i think he want something where he can display pdf form in Appian UI, where the user can enter the data into it, which i think, there is no possibility of that in Appian
