User Interface
Date Field not displaying correctly with 17.1

We just had our Development environment upgraded to 17.1 and noticed that the Date Picker field is different. In Tempo – the drop down calendar doesn’t display to allow the user to pick a date. The user has to manually enter it. However, the SAIL form created for this input form does show the date picker when in the interface view. Why is that? See attached.

Have you installed any hotfixes for 17.1? Take a look at the notes for hotfix B:
docs.appian.com/.../Hotfixes.html
Fix AN-80922 states:
"In Internet Explorer 11, the time dropdown in a date and time component now opens correctly on first click."

We're in the cloud. I've opened a support case to see if the cloud team can resolve this. Maybe that's all they have to do. However, I'm using Chrome and the date picker field doesn't display correctly there.

Hi Judy, the date picker is worked good for us in 17.1 and I tested in chrome,IE, Firefox and Edge browsers. Have you tried clearing browser cache and other trails?

FYI, here's the issue we've discovered: in the date/time picker, if the user hand-enters a time (such as 14:04) then leaves the field via the TAB key, the time value reverts to something completely incorrect such as "12:00 AM". If the user uses the mouse to click out of the field, however, it works correctly.

Thanks for the suggestion @chandrasekharg - we have refreshed our browsers and tested with IE, Chrome and Firefox. Evidently this issue is specific to our environment. We've got a support case going; Appian's working to resolve it.
@mschmitt - Haven't run into that before, but that sounds like a bug.

Hi Judy,
We have upgraded our on premise environment to 17.1 and applied both hotfix A and B, but still facing this issue with date picker field. Can you please let me know if the date field issue is resolved.

@vinods129 - Yes - we resolved our date picker field issue. It turns out that there is a bug associated with the timezone setting. In the International Settings option of the System tab, we had our environments set to (UTC-6:00) Central Time (CST). Evidently there is a conflict with that setting. Once we changed it to (UTC-6:00) Central Time (America/Chicago) - the date field picker worked as expected. Appian is aware of this bug and created an internal ticket (AN-82746) for it. Perhaps there are other timezone conflicts but if you are on Central Time - try picking the one associated with (America/Chicago).

@judy Thank you. Changing the timezone worked for us as well.
