Overview

Creating an elegant, efficient and intuitive interface isn’t the only aspect of a great user experience. However, any app featuring a slow, fragile and clunky interface won’t offer a good user experience, whatever its usefulness. The Applied User Interfaces course will get you thinking about what makes a great interface and how to implement one in your applications.

In this course, you’ll learn how to create, improve, and troubleshoot complex interfaces. You’ll spend the majority of your time working through real examples, in effort to make your learning experience as impactful as possible.

Objectives

  • Design mockups of complex interfaces
  • Create a non-functional interface of a complex landing page
  • Create a functional self-service form
  • Troubleshoot a broken interface
  • Troubleshoot a slow-performing interface
  • Design complex interfaces for reusability

Before You Attend

The Applied User Interfaces course is open to anyone who wishes to attend it. However, the course assumes students have a strong grasp of Appian’s low-code design tools such as the interface builder, conditional expressions, and file management. Students should also have an understanding of good user experience principles. Before attending this course, students should complete Appian Developer training as well as Advanced User Experience.
