Upon creating a new user/editing an existing user and defining an email address with a non-standard domain (a domain that does not end with .com, .net, etc.), the following error is thrown and users are unable to proceed:
example@example.example is not a valid email address
Email validation does not permit use of non-standard domains in email addresses.
This has been addressed in Appian 16.1. Starting with this release, any email address can be used assuming that there are valid alphanumeric characters present and at least one period in the domain is present.
Please upgrade to this release to take advantage of the fix.
This article applies to Appian 7.11 and earlier.
