KB-1329 Dropdown fields require expansion to type and select choice after upgrading to Appian 17.1

Symptoms
When a user tabs to a dropdown or multi-dropdown within a SAIL interface, they cannot type a choice label to auto-select an existing value.
The user must open the dropdown menu in order to make a selection - either by manually clicking into the dropdown or pressing "enter" when the dropdown is in focus.
Cause
This issue has been resolved via AN-77060 in Appian 17.1 Hotfix Package C and Appian 17.2.
Action
Apply the latest hotfix to your Appian installation or upgrade to the latest version of Appian.
