Uploading a new version of a document fails and throws an Unable to acquire write connection error in the application server log. In addition, the following error is seen on the user interface:
Unable to acquire write connection
In addition, several *rollback.l files are created in the <AE_HOME>/logs/ directory.
This issue has been addressed via AN-101987 in the following hotfixes/versions:
Apply the latest hotfix to your Appian installation or upgrade to the latest version of Appian.
This article applies to Appian 17.4 and 18.1
