Manage the security of documents, folders and knowledge centers (KCs).

Key Features & Functionality

Functions:

• GetDownloadersFromGroup
  • Get the users of a specific group that have downloaded any of the given documents
• GetFoldersRequiringChangesApproval
  • Retrieve a list of all folders that require approval for documents for a given KC
• GetPendingDocumentsAndFolders
  • Reveals if a knowledge center contains documents or folders in pending state

Smart Services

• Inherit Security From Parent for Folder
  • Allows you to reset this option for a list of folders
• Inherit Security from Parent for Document
  • Make sure a document inherits the parent's security after being moved from a private folder
• Remove Approval Required
  • Remove the "Require administrator approval for all Knowledge Center changes" restriction on a folder basis
• Remove Member From Folder Security
  • Remove members from the security role map of a Folder which is not inheriting the security from the parent (If the content object is inheriting the security from the parent no action is performed)
• Remove Member From KC Security
  • Remove members from the security role map of a KC which is not inheriting the security from the parent (If the content object is inheriting the security from the parent no action is performed)
• Unexpire Documents
  • Un-expire a list of documents
• Approve Pending Documents and Folders
  • Approve documents and folders which are in the pending state due to previously being created or deleted from a folder which was marked as Approval Required. Use this smart service after using the "Remove Approval Required" smart service if there are documents and folders that you have created but cannot download or see in the design environment
