File Vault Field

Overview

Highly sensitive documents may require additional encryption (in addition to standard disk encryption). The File Vault allows users to upload documents that and store them file-level encrypted within Appian. Files are always stored encrypted on disk, not even temporarily stored unencrypted.

Key Features & Functionality

• Upload highly sensitive documents to be stored encrypted on disk
• Use viewer components to download documents
• Encryption keys are stored in the Appian Secure Credential Store.
• Encryption keys may be rotated.
• The encryption scheme is your choice (e.g. AES 128, AES 256, and others may be specified as per your security standards)
