I got it resolved, but don't know the root cause, however hope it can help someone.
So what you need to do is add any document as 'Font Document', close the smart service, open it again and remove the document. Maybe after the above action, service is sending 'empty' instead null, but just a guess.
Important is that it get back to work.
Dear Group,
After moving to version 23.4 and updating the plugin to the newest version, the smart service is erroring out with a message: "java.lang.NullPointerException". It is not specific to any process, just anything we are trying to convert is failing.
Anyone facing the same problem ?
Hi Rahul Nemani ,Thanks for reaching out!For now HTML to PDF plugin doesn't have that format of numbering, We will analyse on this and if this is possible we will update it in our future release.Regards,Vignesh E.
Hi. Is there a way to output the format like 1 of 3, 2, 2 of 3, 3 of 3 at the bottom of each page in the PDF instead of just the number?
Hi ujjwalk ,
Yes, the latest plugin will generate the multipage PDF when the HTML is long.
Hi Santhosh,is the plugin updated to generate multiple pages of PDF ?
Hi davidef0002,
The plugin is supported in the 23.3 version of Appian. We are not facing any issues in the latest version. Could you please send the input parameter values so that we can debug on the issue you faced.
Thanks,Wasim
Hello. I'm constantly getting the following error message in a 23.3 Appian Environment: "java.lang.NullPointerException". I'm not getting any errors when running the smart service in a 23.1 environment, hence me thinking that this could be due to versions compatibility issues.
Are you planning to release a 23.3 compatible version any time soon?
Thanks in advance,
Davide
Did you consider to enable the SVG rendering capabilities of the openhtmltopdf library? That would allow us to add dynamic charts to PDF documents.
