Inline Appian View Component

Overview

With the all new set of Inline Appian View components, accessing the tasks, reports, records, actions and related actions of one environment into another environment is now a piece of cake. With the help of the Appian’s Embedded Interface feature, users can now interact with the desired target environment directly from the host environment. We have five different components to satisfy your needs to view and interact with five different interfaces that are available in Appian’s default user interface.

How to use it? Simply use the desired component as per your requirement to bring in which functionality inline into another environment. Provide in the common required inputs like Site Url and some function specific inputs like Task ID, Report URL Stub, Record URL Stub, etc. Make sure that you are logged in to your user account in both Source and the Target Environment and you are all set to experience the Inline Appian View.

When to use it? There might be cases where you wanted to view a report, or perform a task that belongs to another environment but you wish to reduce the complexity of opening the environment in a new tab or wanted to save the browsing time you take to reach the desired record, report or task. Those situations can be well handled with the help of Inline Appian View components where you just require one time configuration and let the magic happen for the rest of the time. Use Cases: -> To initiate or process a request in a different environment by accessing the Action or Task directly from another environment. -> To make inline views of Reports or Records from different environments in a single screen.
