Persona Emulation Tool (PET)

Overview

For environments that permit logging in only via centralized authentication systems (and not by username-password credentials), developers and testers cannot log in as test users, and so they must modify their own group memberships in order to perform testing. Often this will require forfeiting system administrator permissions in order to fully simulate the limited permissions of an end-user.

Key Features & Functionality

This application allows users to emulate the group membership of other users, called personas, in order to complete functional testing in support of development activities. When testing is complete, these users can revert to their previous permissions, including being a system administrator if applicable, using the tool.

This application is provided as-is.
