Saved Filters Application

Overview
This component allows users to save their individual filters on reports and is easy to add to any report in your application. Each filter is specific to a user. Additional features include the following:
  1. The option for users to set a default filter
  2. A dynamic record of the last search the user ran
  3. The option for administrators to publish global filters per report for all users

The filter values are stored in the business database as JSON. The component contains one SAIL interface section to include on your report and several helper rules that should be inserted into specific locations in the SAIL expression for your report. Please refer to the documentation and the sample application for an example on how to configure the component. These applications are compatible with Appian 18.3+.

  • Hi Appian,

    Need confirmation on below scenario.

    1. We want to preserve last searched filter without saving into DB. (On Home screen there are filters, when we filter and click on result it take us to summary page. Now if i again go back to Home, i should be able to re-apply last filter)

User would like to either have screen return home with previous filters applied (even though not saved) or with button that would re-apply them.

    Thanks in Advance!!

  • Hi, are you using a process model for the UI navigation? Or does "Home" bring you to a site page?
