I am getting the following error in the log file (application-server.log)
LockException: Process Model is locked by another user
The user's process does not open.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Thanks,

Can you be a little more specific about when you are seeing this? Is it just something you noticed in the logs? Was there a message or issue on an interface that prompted you to take a look at the corresponding message in the logs?

Hello Alex. Thanks for your quick reply. This issue started when a user tried to edit one of his processes and it would not open. I looked at the log file and saw the lock error. We have opened a ticket with tech support as this is something that they have not seen before. Thanks again.

If a designer opens a process or a process model in edit mode, any other designer that tries to open it will get the message to prevent simultaneous access/modification. The first user can either exit, or the second user can break the lock.

Yes, that is the way it *should* happen, but in our case, all the designers has signed out of the system and we even restarted Appian/Jboss with the same results. They were not getting error/warning messages. The page would just spin.

Thank you for the clarification. In that case, I would recommend continuing to working with support to further troubleshoot the issue
